People pretty much seem ok with this now in any emails. Obviously they don't belong in a formal email to someone you don't know very well, but is it ok to use emoticons in day-to-day correspondence with a colleague or client you call on a first-name basis? They still make me a little queasy.
Definitely not, reserve emojis for personal emails.
